Shaped like a sculpture of Zaha Hadid, the new Pleyel arrives where it is not expected. He will be featured on the Peugeot stand of the Mondial de l'auto. Peugeot Design Lab, the global design studio established in 2010 by the manufacturer, highlights its first off-car collaboration with an external customer. "At the instigation of one of our designers, who is also a pianist, and thanks to our skills in the field of industrial and automotive creation, we have devised a revolutionary musical instrument. The concept and the aesthetics were there, was still to contact the piano factory Pleyel, "said Gilles Vidal, director of Style Peugeot. "For two centuries, the piano has been 5 cubic meters of black!" Says Arnaud Marion, Creative Director at Pleyel. "A kind of monolith at a time when living spaces are overshadowed and where we no longer hesitate to change the details as tiny as a door knob." By entrusting to the creators the care to chisel appearances For ten years, the manufacture had already come a long way. One remembers the piano Milky Way, Andrée Putman, dressed in his checkerboard, Parallèle, Hilton McConnico, with blue bowels, Lirico, Michele de Lucchi, which sublimated the art of arched wood.
